When I am not working as a counselor, I enjoy spending time with my husband, four boys, and extended family. I love to travel, eat delicious food, and read books.

My office is located at

Background & Theoretical Approach

Hello and Welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Idaho (LPC-9287). I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Marriage, Family & Human Development from Brigham Young University  in 2002. I earned a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwest Nazarene University in 2022 with an emphasis in Trauma, Grief, and Crisis, as well as in Acceptance & Mindfulness Informed Therapies.

I love what I do! Being a counselor is more than a job--it reflects a core part of me that enjoys getting to know people at an authentic level. I have always been fascinated by human psychology, relationships, and understanding the complexity of human life. As a counselor, I guide people through personal challenges, help accept and allow difficult emotions, and empower people.

To feel deeply is to be deeply human. When we ignore our feelings, we deny ourselves our own humanity. But feelings are also messy, and facing them often means facing messes, which is scary! That’s why it’s easier to throw a blanket over a mess and try to avoid it than sort through it. The problem is, disconnecting from our feelings doesn’t solve mental health issues. It creates them.

James Hollis says: "We are invited to take a different view of our symptoms. Our first natural desire is to suppress them. But we must learn to read them as clues to the wounded wishes of the soul."
